How We Do Laundry While Living Small

Every Friday morning, after getting ready for the day, we begin laundry by sorting the clothes on the living room floor. Then we pile them back into the baskets, keeping them separated as well as possible. We grab our soap, dryer sheets, and quarters and head out.

When we get to the laundromat, I fill the washing machines and make sure the settings are correct and RC comes in behind me and pays and starts them.

We then move the washed clothes to the dryers and again, RC comes in behind me and pays and starts them.

We then fold the clothes and compete to see who can fold the most clothes. I always win, but possibly because RC doesn’t know we are competing. =) Then we stack the clothes back into the baskets to head home.

Some clothes I hang to dry on a clothes rack that usually ends up in the kitchen for day. Not at all in the way that was sarcasm. Everyone puts their clothes away as soon as we get home and in roughly 3 hours all our laundry for the week is done. Except the clothes that need to hang dry, of course.
