Where I’ve Been. Where I’ll Be.

Hi, guys. Sorry for my long absence. Things have really changed since the middle of January and blogging hasn’t been a priority. Here are the facts:

  1. I’ve started working outside our home 32 hours per week. RC has taken over most of the home schooling, though I still do reading with Micaiah and photography with Isaac. While I realize this is 8 hours less than most people work, it is technically full-time, and something I haven’t done in 18 years.

I really enjoy my job and am excited about the company I work for. Huge blessing. However, now that so much of my time is committed to my job, I’m starting to be much pickier about how the rest of my time is spent. I’m used to having tons of time with my kids and husband, and now that time has lessened significantly. They get priority when I’m not at work.

Which brings me to:

2. The three couples who moved to Austin last year have started a weekly radio program. It airs on The Bridge 1120AM here in Austin, Sundays from 3-5. It can be live streamed or listened to in podcast form on our website: To The Saints. We are excited about what the Lord is doing through this opportunity. The show is about Jesus Christ and His Church, and it is in a round-table, talk-show, discussion format. =) We meet two evenings a week to prepare, and then record for three to four hours on Sunday. Another large time commitment.

These two new things have caused a big shift in what my life looks like right now. And, honestly, I’m really, really good with it.

I’m more active on instagram if you want small glimpses into life right now. You can find me @bridgetbabione or in the sidebar.

I’ve decided to give myself the freedom to not put any parameters on the blog. I might write, I might not. I’m definitely not gonna worry about it. I do have a quick bread recipe that I really want to share with y’all, and I’ve made some more changes to the RV inside and out that I think you’ll enjoy seeing, so I might be back soonner. I will say, though, that if you are interested in being aware of if/when I do write something on here, the best thing would be to sign up for my email. You will only receive an email when there is new content on the blog, so no new content equals no email. Easy, peasy. The sign up box is below and make sure to confirm your subscription by clicking on the link in the email you will receive shortly.

Thanks for sticking around through my unexplained absence! I’ll try to not be gone so long next time. =)

All good Bridget! So glad you’re actually enjoying the job you’re in and the Lord is giving you all the grace you need in this season.
