Jesus and His Church

You Fill Up My Spirit

This is a post from my old blog that I wanted to share here as well. The song is “Annie’s Song” that has been rewritten to be about/to the Lord. I didn’t rewrite it, but it is in our church songbook, and one morning I had a desire to record it.

Please don’t judge this by it’s low quality.  Just enjoy some time with your Lord through this song; I know that will bless Him tremendously.  The words are below the video.

You Fill Up My Spirit

You fill up my spirit as I take time to know You, as I stand here inside You and call on Your name,  You come and You love me, You’re my joy and my sorrow.  I sit in Your presence and love You again.

My Jesus, I love You.  May I always be with You.  Let me cry in Your presence, let me die in Your arms.  It’s all my desire to give my life to You.  You fill up my spirit, I’m Yours once again.

You fill me with splendor as I gaze here inside You.  I’m lost in Your being and drowned in Your sight.  You come and You love me, I’m caught here so breathless.  My heart pounds within me right here in Your arms.

You hold me between realms where the heavens and earth kiss.  Time and eternity embrace in my heart.  And here in Your garden we’re lost in each other.  I’m drowning again, Lord, right here in Your arms.

I know! And just to clarify, I didn’t rewrite it. =) It’s in our songbook and it doesn’t say who rewrote it. ??? Maybe someone in the church knows.

Bridget, you don’t know me. I went to school with your dad (if your dad is Ted Williams?) Anyway, your voice and song moved me greatly. Beautiful. Thank you, Diane Neher

I was so blessed by this dear sister. Only a few days before, the same song had risen in my heart as I sat outside and had my earthly senses filled up from the sounds of the birds and the sight of the trees and blue sky and the smell of the great out doors. Being in Christ, He filled up my Spirit in the same way. I was stimulated by Him and my Spirit felt alive and nourished and the same occurred for me through hearing your singing of this song. Thank you sister! Love you! 🙂

Thankyou for sharing this beautiful song. I was actually humming this same tune before I played it. What a beautiful reminder of Gods love.
